〈授業の概要〉

　『社会起業の運営って大変。そんな中で自分が運営する側だと成りきった時、何が一番大切だと感じた？』 これをリサーチクエスチョンとして、学生が立ち上げたNPOであるピースゲームズのケーススタディを行いました。

使用したケースは、Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Governmentの"Peace Games: A Nonprofit's Journey from Birth to National Expansion（Epilogue）(A)(B)"（ケースナンバー1795.0,1795.1,1796.0）の３ケースです。この３ケースは、ピースゲームズの組織としての成長を描いた一つのケースとして捉えることができます；（A）ピースゲームズの立ち上げから拡大戦略まで、（Epilogue）Aで描かれた問題が現実ではどのように対処されたかがつづられた３ページ程度のストーリー、（B）Aの終わりから始まり、立ち上げから８年経った２００４年までの期間を描き、資金集め、拡大、組織内の運営、など様々な問題が混在する状況に終わります。

１月１３日の授業当日は井上研究室のメンバーを４つの役柄に分けて、ロールプレイをしてもらいました。まず、NPOを立ち上げた本人であるドーソン。そして、実質的な組織のオペレーションに精通しているフランクリンとライを一役に。ボランティアなどピースゲームズという組織の大部分を担う、ジュニアースタッフ。最後に、立ち上げからドーソンに手を貸し、見守ってきた理事会。これらの４つの役柄にそれぞれ２人～５人の研究会メンバーを配置し、それぞれの役柄本人になりきって、NPOピースゲームズの"総会"を行ってもらいました。

〈事前の宿題〉

　当日までに行ってきてもらった宿題は、３つ。一つ目が、Sexy4が事前に日本語に訳しサマリーを作成した（A）のケースを読み込んできてもらうこと。二つ目が、英語で書かれた17ページに渡る（B）のケースの原文を読み込んでもらうこと。三つ目が、ピースゲームズの変遷を個人個人が整理してきてくれるように、Sexy4が作成したピースゲームズのヒストリーを振り返るシートを埋めてくることです。

〈当日の授業〉

そして、授業当日。授業開始に向けて、役割ごとに別れて座ってもらいました。はじめに、Sexy4がパワーポイントを使って、ピースゲームズの今までの変遷・ケースの登場人物を簡単に復習しました。次に役割ごと（4つ）に、2枚目のワークシート（役割ごとの意見を統一させることを目的に、sexy4が授業用に作成したもの）を埋め、その後行われる"NPOピースゲームズの全体総会"で話し合うべき議題を整理しました。

そして、いよいよ"全体総会"。議題は、「ピースゲームズの今後を考える」というざっくりとしたテーマで、それぞれの役に成り切って話し合ってもらう。そこから始まるのです。ドーソンチームが提案します。「NPOの拡大を目指すためにパートナーシップを組むべきだ！」。そして、フランクリン＆ライが「それより優先すべき事項として、プログラムの効果を測定するべきだ！」と反論します。このように、役割それぞれが重要視する事柄の違いから、「何を議題とするか」も一向に決まりません。

議題すらなかなか決まらない状況から、普段社会起業を本や映像、ゲストの方のお話から学んできたことを当事者の立場に成り切り、演じることによって、少しでも「実感値」に落としこめたら。こんな想いで、今回の授業を創りました。授業の最後に一人一人今日の学びを一言で発表した際には、下記のようなコメントが出ました。

〈授業準備からの学び〉

Sexy4は、10月頃から隔週で授業当日までグループワーク（以後グルワ）を行いました。リーダーJOYちゃんの「タスクとしてこなすのではなく、楽しめる準備をしよう」という合言葉のもと、毎回のMTG空間にはこだわってきたこともあり、授業当日まで、準備にはチーム全員、楽しく取り組めました。

「社会起業を運営する上で起こる日常の混沌を体験する」という授業のゴール設定を初期の段階で明確にできていたことがグルワの進行がうまくいった要因の一つであったと考えます。このゴールがあったからこそ、今回のケーススタディでロールプレイしようというアイディアも生まれました。また、チーム内での議論が混迷した際は常に目的にそっているか、照らし合わせました。

また、グルワを始める最初に、それぞれがこの授業準備を通して何を得たいか、ということもシェアしたことがそれぞれの授業準備に向けての意気込みを確認することに役に立ったのでは・・・と思います。

〈編集後記〉

SEXY4のメンバーは、実はみんな4年生。ほとんど学校に行かないことや、キャンパスがばらばらなこともあり、毎回都内や横浜周辺の素敵なカフェでミーティングをしていました。それが功を奏してか、ミーティングもリラックスしながらも、集中して進めることができるホットなチームだったと思います。自画自賛ですが。

もちろん、グルワというプロジェクトを進めるために、しっかりとタスクをこなす、とか、それぞれの分担を明確に、とか、ってとても大事なことだと思います。けれど、それより何より私たちにあったのは、お互いに対する信頼感とそれぞれ程よく越権しながら他のメンバーを補い合えるほどよい関係だったと言えます。

授業も楽しく、そして、授業作りのプロセスも楽しみながら。これがグルワをうまく進めていくポイントだったのかもしれません。
